One Way Valves - Reflux Valves
Following the 2022 flood events, one-way valves—also known as reflux valves—were installed as the initial flood mitigation measure at Regatta Riverside.
These valves play a critical role in preventing stormwater from backflowing into the basement carparks during heavy rain events. They work in conjunction with the submersible stormwater pumps, which are installed in the stormwater pits located at the driveway entrance on Sylvan Road, and actively remove water from the system.
The second mitigation initiative involved replacing the submersible stormwater pumps and relocating the controllers to positions above known flood levels. The new controllers are equipped with variable speed drives and feature an automated alert system that can contact up to five designated management phone numbers in the event of a fault.
Together, these measures eliminate the risk of stormwater ingress during severe weather conditions. The pumps are located at the driveway entrance in Sylvan Road.
